I've been watching a channel on TV called Planet Green, I was watching a show called Crime Scene Wild. It is a show about people who trade and kill endangered species. It was crazy to see these people hide ivory in these huge shipping crates, behind a secret wall within it Which brings me to talk about the Endangered Species Act of 1973.
This is an important issue to me, not only because I have a huge love for animals, but I want to one day see some of these species before they do go extinct. Imagine seeing an elephant in the wild, it would be amazing and beautiful. But I do not believe the ways that these animals are protected is truly beneficial, they catch some people but most of the times it is too late, after the animal has already been killed.
I liked the way our blog had the two different opionioned articles so I chose to do that with this post,
Here is an article that is for ESA (Endangered Species Act)
Here is one against the ESA

Generally -- I'm with you & I'm very concerned that my daughters will grow up into a world without so many animals in the wild: from tigers to polar bears to mountain lions, etc., etc. ESA has been controversial, yes, but generally positive in my view, for providing a legal check on developers, loggers, miners, etc. whose overriding priority for increased profits, etc. does tend to negate concern for wildlife. Strictly enforced, some might see ESA as an obstacle & barrier to progress, but it often provides the only force for protecting wildlife.
